This is something that is handled by default by the nagios core. Your users will only see the devices you assign them to as contacts (or contactgroups) as long as they don’t have authorized_for_all_hosts set for them in nagios.cfg.

Can you put permissions in op5, so the users only see some devices.

the apache driver is a very nice feature, but I couldn’t get it running, since I do not know what the PHP script configured in $config['apache_login'] should contain?
do the users have to be created within the merlin-db anyway?

how far are the implementations of the nagios3 features for nacoma?

Yes, all of these changes will be included in next release (5.5) of op5 Monitor planned for release october 31.
Our focus for this release:
Nacoma
* Support Nagios 3 features (Services on hostgroups etc)
* Cleanup/rename graphs and logs when changing hostname
* Config import from third party tools

Add support for Openstreetmap as backend for Nagvis
* Enable offline maps

NOC master template – is a good thought I am looking forward for it
Saving search is a good step, are these going to be in next release of Op5 v5.5. What is expected to be new in Op5 v5.5?
